The 42nd match of the Indian Premier League(IPL 2017) between home team Delhi Daredevils and Gujarat Lions has played at Played at Feroz Shah Kotla, Delhi.
Karun Nair captain of the Delhi Daredevils won the toss and elected to bowl first. As he was looking very confident on his decision, here is what he said after winning the toss and Raina about getting the bat first:
Karun Nair: We are bowling first. We did well last game and there will be dew later on, so I prefer chasing. We gained momentum by winning the last game. We want to take one game at a time and enjoy ourselves. Three changes: Morris, Mathews, Jayant OUT. Cummins, Samuels and Nadeem are in.
Suresh Raina: We would have loved to bowled first here. But we just have to go out there and put runs on the board, and the rest is upto the bowlers. We just have to go there and express yourself. Go there with the right approach and enjoy the game. We are playing with the same eleven.

Gujarat Lions got a bad start while Delhi Daredevils bowlers were bowling hard and making the way to win. But after 20 overs they got a decent score to fight. Also Delhi Daredevils not started well, Karun Nair the captain got out at 12 but Sanju Samson was in the form and making the boundary in every over. After 10 overs they reached to 113-1. In the end they done well to win the match and stay in the competition.
