Delhi University Admission Procedure for Regular Courses

Delhi University undoubtedly is the top universities of India. DU provides admission to all the students residents in India or overseas. The University offers different courses via regular as well as distance learning. Here we are giving you the Delhi University Admission Procedure for 2016:

Online Registration Procedure

Students interested in taking admission to the undergraduate, postgraduate and other courses in the Delhi University are required to fill the DU Admission Form 2016. The procedure for filling the admission form for all the categories (General/OBC/SC/ST/PWD) is same. There is a common web portal for registration of the students. For the first time registration, the student should create a username or password and should provide the email-id for the future use. After filling the admission form a verification email has been sent to the student’s email account for the confirmation of the registration.  The student has to click the link to confirm the registration.  After this confirmation of the registration the student should have the following documents before filling the online form:

• Passport size photograph of the student.
• Scanned signature of the student.
• Self attested mark sheets of the last qualification.
• Self attested copy of SC/ST/OBC/PWD/KM/CW Certificate, if applicable.
• Self attested copy of income certificate.
• Self attested copy of sport certificates for last three years, if applicable.
• Self attested copy of extra curricular activities certificates, if applicable.

Important Dates

Once you have all these documents you just have to login to the Admission 2016 where you will see your dashboard and  you just have to click the apply now button for applying the form. For the registration fee, click on the click to make payment button. Now you have to click on the print form button to view your submitted form with the form number and QR code.

Selection procedure

The University holds an entrance exam for the PG courses. The entrance exams are organized through the offline mode. The selection for the under graduate courses is according to the cut-of issued by the DU. Different colleges have different cut-of lists, the university issues 12 cut of lists. These cut of lists are according to the 12^th class percentage of the student. Students get admission in the DU cut of list according to the subject or stream they had in class 12^th.
72 colleges participate in the admission process.

• Go to the official website of the Delhi University(www.du.ac.in) and then click on the DU Cut of list link.
• Open this link and save it.
• Take a print out.

The starting cut of lists of DU is very high but after sometime, the lists get down.  Delhi University offers as many as 54000 seats in around 86 departments spread in north and south campuses.
